Switchgear serves essential functions including protection by interrupting short-circuit and overload fault currents while maintaining service to unaffected circuits. It provides isolation from power supplies and enhances system availability by enabling multiple sources to feed a load.
This protective equipment is utilized for both low voltage and medium voltage systems, commonly for 11kV applications. It incorporates a Load Break Switch (LBS) mechanism rated for 630A and features an overcurrent protection scheme using HRC fuses. The panel comprises three Current Transformers (CT) and three Potential Transformers (PT) for measuring system current and voltage. HRC fuses safeguard against overloads or short circuits. Additionally, the panel includes three Ammeters and a Voltmeter with a selector switch for comprehensive monitoring.
Constructed in a metal-clad design using high-grade steel, ensuring adequate thickness for safety and security, the panel measures 900mm x 1000mm x 1800mm and weighs approximately 450kGs.
